Roskilde is located in the Roskilde municipality of the same name in the Danish region of Zealand. It has 48,721 inhabitants (2014) and is one of the oldest cities in Denmark.

The place borders the Roskildefjord in the north. Roskilde is also the capital of the eponymous Diocese of Roskilde of the Danish People's Church.

Also in the centre, there is a very interesting museum where you can see five original Viking ships and can learn everything about the Vikings. The city is also known for its annual music festival.

The Cathedral is also a highlight during your visit, almost all princes and queens are buried there in tombs that are worth visiting. The tomb for Queen Margaretha II has also been prepared, of course we hope that she may live happily ever after.
