Oslo is the largest city in Norway and the ideal gateway to get to know this fantastically beautiful country! A fjord, the sea, rivers and a waterfall, all in the city? Sure enough, in Olso all this can be seen and makes a visit more than worth it. Hip neighbourhoods with cosy restaurants, numerous museums, who wouldn’t like to see Edvard Munch’s The Scream in real life?

In the northwest of Oslo is the largest sculpture park in the world formed by a single artist. Spread over the 80 hectare Vigelandspark you will find the life's work of the Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland. 212 granite, bronze, and cast iron statues of full-size naked human bodies flank the central 850-meter walkway.

And, finally, don't miss the Vikings. On the Bygdøy peninsula is the museum with the best-preserved Viking ships from the 8th and 9th centuries: the Viking Ship Museum. One of these Viking ships is the 22-meter long Oseberg ship that was used by the Norwegian nobility for travelling along the coast. That this was for the nobility is apparent from the lavish decoration of the oak boat. From animal graphics on the stern edges to the striking spiral snake head in the tip of the bow.
